Keeping My Child Healthy

ARKids First, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in Arkansas, serves more than 380,000 Arkansas children who might have been uninsured without this program. The program educates families about the importance of developing a relationship with a primary care physician to eliminate unneeded emergency department visits. ARKids First covers well-child checkups for children in order to stay current on immunizations and other significant health screenings. Among other benefits, ARKids First also covers vision and dental care without the need for a referral from a doctor. Visit ARKidsFirst.com or a local DHS office to learn more about ARKids First and how to enroll in the program.
